This package is ideal for riders on youth/adult-sized bikes (KLX140 and larger). Please see other Offers for smaller/younger riders.

Bikes will be suited to your physical size and dirt bike experience and the personalized tuition is tailored to your needs, at any level. James is NZ's most experienced dirt bike coach; you will be in good hands.  Our experienced Thundercross Team will look after you.

Beginners/novices: No matter your age; if you can confidently ride a two-wheel pedal bike, we can teach you to independently ride a dirt bike around our Learners' Track. No motorcycle experience or licence required.

This package includes 2 hours of tuition, taking you from the basics of bike operation - starting, stopping, braking and changing gear in the first hour and progressing you to bike techniques in the second hour.

The first hour will get you going, so that you can enjoy our Learners' Track whilst you practice your skills before the 2nd session.

The 2nd hour of tuition will progress your bike-handling techniques and advance your skills to hill-climbing, hill descents, cornering, riding whilst standing up & picking lines.  It is a practical session, with our coaches riding alongside you.  We find our riders really love this session; ear to ear smiles guaranteed!

This 2nd hour helps prepare you for our B-Track (the novice/intermediate Track) and, depending on individual confidence and skill level, there may be an opportunity for an accompanied section of the B Track.  Important: beginner riders should not attempt the B Track without having had this 2nd session of coaching.

Experienced tuition: If you are a more experienced rider and would like advanced tuition to progress your skills and techniques, we can most definitely help you with practical sessions on the more advanced tracks.

If you are an advanced rider and, therefore, do not require tuition, you may visit Bike Hire, under the tabs above.
